LuthierCon 2025, organized by the Brooklyn Classical Guitar Society (BKCGS), will unite luthiers, performers, and enthusiasts on September 13, 2025, at the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal. This gathering celebrates the art of classical guitar making through:
Interactive Workshops: Join luthier Gary Lee as he explains intonation, teaches you how to evaluate and improve your guitar’s action and intonation.
Live Performances: Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo: Acclaimed for commissioning contemporary works. Penelope Shvarts: Award-winning young guitarist (3rd Prize, 2023 GFA International Youth Competition)， performing classical repertoire.
Luthier Panel Discussion and Q&A. Engage with world-class builders Matt Rubendall, Gary Lee, Novaes & Sons, Brian Itzkin, José Rios Nebro, and Lubos Naprstek as they discuss guitar building and answer questions.
